The Scancon SCA16 is a compact incremental encoder with a 16 mm diameter. It provides resolutions up to 5000 pulses per revolution and is suitable for precise position sensing in confined spaces. Available shaft diameters range from 1.5 to 4 mm, and the operating temperature spans from minus 20 to plus 70 degrees Celsius.
The unit meets IP50 or optional IP65 protection ratings, ensuring reliable operation in industrial environments. Its aluminium and brass construction provides durability. The SCA16 features channels A and B plus an index channel Z. It supports speeds up to 12000 rpm and a maximum frequency of 200 kHz.
Its compact size, low weight and flexible connection options make the encoder suitable for micro drives, sensing equipment, laboratory systems and automation applications.
