Description

The Scancon EX78-A Profibus is a high-performance, explosion-proof absolute encoder designed for seamless integration into Profibus networks under the most demanding safety conditions. Certification: Internationally approved according to ATEX and IECEx; North America Class I Div. 2 certified. Interface: Profibus DP-V0; supports Encoder Profile for Absolute Encoders Ver. 1.1, Class 1 and 2. Configuration: Simple device addressing (1 to 126) via integrated rotary switches in the removable end cap. Precision: Maximum resolution of 16-bit per revolution and up to 15-bit multiturn range. Material: Available in aluminum (approx. 1600 g) or stainless steel (approx. 3100 g) for maximum corrosion resistance. Protection Rating: Certified IP 64 to IP 68 (waterproof up to 1 meter for 1 hour).
