Description
No configuration is necessary. Each port automatically configures data rate and duplex operation using the autonegotiation protocol. Depending on the settings of the connection partner, communication is established at 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps and half or full duplex operation. Each port automatically adapts to patch or crossover cables by using the Auto MDIX protocol to patch or crossover cables. There is no need to stock crossover cables for switch-to-switch cabling.
